GIVING
Investing in the health of our community is one of the best investments we can make. The RFCC is having a lasting impact on our community’s future and your donations will directly influence the lives of our members.
The Rushville Fitness and Community Center (RFCC) is a not-for-profit corporation. While membership dues and activity fees cover the majority of our operating expenses, we count on the support of local businesses and individuals to provide a significant portion of our revenue.
In order to maintain our 501(c)(3) status, we need to show that at least one third of our revenue is coming from public support. In our case with an annual revenue of approximately $600,000 that translates to $200,000 of public support. Currently, our real estate tax abatements are approximately $140,000. We thank the real estate taxpayers of Schuyler County for that support. That leaves a difference of $60,000 to be made up by the additional support of businesses and individuals. Accordingly, we have set a goal of $60,000 per year for our current 2024-2029 appeal campaign. We are asking for five-year pledges, but those contributions can be made in whatever form suits you from one-time contributions to annual contributions. Regardless of the amount, we thank you for your support.
Besides allowing us to meet the above requirement, your contributions also help us to hold the line on our membership dues and activity fees despite rising expenses.
In the attached 2024-2029 campaign brochure, we summarize our journey from 2016 to the present, the impact we are having in the community, the current state of the RFCC, the priorities of our current appeal, and the benefits of business sponsorships and individual donations.
